Karim Benzema scored two late goals as Real Madrid snatched a 3-1 win at Espanyol.

Real had been in danger of losing their first LaLiga points of the season until Benzema finished at close range and brought him the lead in the 88th minute.

This came after Espanyol’s Joselu finished the rebound two minutes before half-time, nullifying Vinicius Junior’s lead in the 12th minute.

But after regaining the lead, Real took home the advantage in an added long period of time.

Benjamin Lecomte was sent off after VAR turned his yellow to red for a foul on Dani Ceballos, and when the clock reached 10 minutes of added time, Benzema’s free-kick scored 3-1.

Robert Lewandowski scored a second double for Barcelona to help the Catalans win 4-0 over Real Valladolid.

Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele both hit the post before Lewandowski converted Raphina’s cross in the 24th minute.
